OATS Bluegrass Festival

The OATS Bluegrass Academy for Kids is a free three-day learning experience held Friday through Sunday during the OATS Bluegrass Festival, July 3rd through 6th, 2008 in Benton, PA. Students ages 8 – 15 attending the festival with an adult weekend ticket holder are welcome to participate. Each student must have his or her own bluegrass instrument.  During the classes, students will learn how to play, sing and perform bluegrass music.

Tentative Schedule: On Friday everyone will meet to go over songs and to meet the instructors. Then on Saturday the kids and teachers will meet for two hours in the morning and two hours in the afternoon.  On Sunday the kids will have the opportunity to show what they have learned with a performance on the main stage during our Sunday show.
